The 23rd release from Vans Syndicate is a collaboration with Slam City Skates. To test the new offering they tapped skaters Chris Pulman, Paddy Jones, Sam Hughes, Jamie Arghh, Olly Todd, Darius Trabalza, Jacob Sawyer, Andrew Khosravani, Rob Mathieson and Curtis Pearl. The resulting video is these talented cats putting the shoe through its paces.
About the collaboration, Slam City Skates had this to say: “We chose the Vans Syndicate Derby as the canvas, making it ours by introducing high grain leather uppers with a wing tip design on the toe. It is designed to be skated in and comes in two colours, Acorn and White. The shoe features the inimitable waffle sole for board feel while cushioning is provided by Polyurethane footbeds with ImpactSorb gel heel pads. Minimal Slam branding adorns the tongue and a red Vans Syndicate heel tab finishes the job making this stylish collaboration a fully functional skate shoe.”
