Chicago’s Rotofugi Gallery has been on a tear as of late, and this time around, they’re continuing their hot streak with Vancouver-based artist Mark ‘Atomos’ Pilon. Opening on February 6th, the gallery/designer toy store is set to host 101 of Pilon’s best paintings. His work is somewhat of a departure from the darker Lowbrow offerings that the gallery typically displays (such as genre heavyweights such as Mitch O’Conell and Frank Kozik); it is vibrant while maintaining a little bit of a spooky edge. Typified by its clean simplicity, his artwork tends to focus on space and science themes, and his paintings are certainly as optimistic as they are refreshing. Check out both this rising artist and gallery beginning on February 6th.
