Plastic Bag Subway Art

Plastic Bag Subway Art

Joshua Allen Harris has come up with a creative piece of street art with a conscience. Attached to the grates over the New York subway is a polar bear made of plastic bags. When a train passes, the bear inflates then deflates. Harris is trying to call attention the grave effects that the dreaded global warming is having on our environment, specifically the wildlife. Animals like the polar bear are here now but may be gone tomorrow. Joshua Allen Harris has been featured in New York Magazine for some of his other subway plastic bag art. Can’t wait to see what he creates next.

I love Harris’ art. The centaurs he made (See video) are really impressive.

    By the way: It’s “Conscience”.
