Bamboo is the worlds fasted growing woody plant… so why don’t we utilize its capabilities more often? Probably because most have not explored its now abundant uses in today’s world (outside of chopsticks & paper).Â New Bamboo is a new exhibit of contemporary Japanese masters that is up at the Japan Society NYC.Â The exhibit turns this oriental favorite into masterful pieces of art, displaying many of its greatest properties.Â The beautiful patterns, shapes and angles of the exhibit show proof that there is more to this sustainable substance that eating utensils and baskets.Â New Bamboo will be running until 1/11/09.
