Art Whino have just announced that they’ll be holding an exhibit by one of Maryland’s best kept secrets: James Walker. The first thing that you’ll notice about Walker’s work is it’s immediacy: each work is frenetic, a mishmash of ideas and techniques. And, it seems, that’s his intention: he cites ‘living in the present’ as theme to his work. The exhibit will feature paintings, photographs, books, and collages. Each medium bleeds into the next, as it seems that any given piece blends street art, abandoned skateboards, paintings, and disconnected pieces of text. The exhibit runs from June 5th to June 6th, and should serve as a great introduction to an rising artist.
