Double Goose, the company who brought us the original leather V-bomber jacket, is opening a pop-up store on Manhattan’s Lower East Side. These tough jackets were iconic in the 1980s, representative of a New York City of another era. They were seen far and wide, from the Marcy projects to the slums of Shaolin, on the backs of Jam Master Jay, Heavy D, and Eric B. and Rakim. Double Goose’s pop-up shop opens on October 18th, 2009, at 151 Orchard Street, in the heart of the Lower East Side, and will showcase the release of its fall / winter 2009 collection .
