As a part of Toronto’s Luminato Festival, Dan Bergeron is putting a face to the residents of Toronto’s social housing project, Regent Park. Bergeron is shooting their portraits and literally making them apart of the residences that are in the process of being torn down and rebuilt. The artist is hoping that this will challenge some of the pre-conceived notions towards these citizens that will be displaced once they are shoved from their homes for the rebuild.
