adidas has been the primary athletic sponsor of the FIFA World Cup for over 40 years, and this Historical Match Ball set goes over that history in the form of match balls. In 1970, the World Cup was broadcast in color for the first time. However, the white ball showed poorly on the screens back then, so adidas designed the Telstar, the now classic black-and-white football we’re all familiar with. Over the years, adidas has added to, recolored, and redesigned the ball, with variants like the Tango, Etrusco Unico and Tricolore finding various degrees of success before 2006’s radical new +10 Teamgeist design. Now, you can get all the different balls from 1970 to 2006, in one brilliant pack. Available online now.
