I had a craving for Soba but I didn’t want to cook it myself. After work, I stopped at Sobaya on Astor Place.
They serve pretty good Soba and Udon from Nagano, JP. They also serve you Sobayu (the hot water that was used to boil Soba). We need more Japanese spots like this in NYC. Not too fancy, not too pricey, not westernized.
It doesn’t have to be super tasty. Some place I can say, “that is pretty good.” That’s what I want more of here in NYC.
