On Wednesday I had the pleasure of attending the mixtape release party for This Charming Mixtape, Theophilus London’s most recent collection of works including collaborations with R&B wonder, Jesse Boykins III. Since making his debut in Rocksmith look books & ads last spring, Theo has come a long way both professionally and musically. Having played shows on remote islands like Guam to major urban cities like London, having tasted success with friend & producer Machinedrum and having faced hardships & loss, we have been following Theo’s rise to the center stage of BK’s hip hop renaissance. Look out for This Charming Mixtape, the second Rocksmith-powered collection, slated for release mid-February.
