Murakami at the Brooklyn Museum

I’m late to catch the Murakami exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum. But I caught it before it closed this weekend. Some of the discussions surrounding his work are intriguing — his antithetical pseudo-heroic characters, his use of logos & parallel universes, the opposition of flat aesthetics with semiotic dimensions. All fun in that hallucinogenic acid lover way.

cute & ambiguously sober

Highlights: The Lonesome Cowboy sculpture & Inochi, the animated video commercial you must watch.
