I had the privilege of working with Burton earlier in 2007 on a pattern for a jacket they were going to be making. Little did I know this jacket would make it’s debut on ESPN at the Winter X-Games, on the back of men’s halfpipe winner Keven Pearce no less. The Launch Jacket from Burton comes out in August. I went to Sports Chalet today to see if anyone knew any info on the jacket. The guy called Burton to see if they have started releasing the jacket yet and not to my surprise, it comes out with the rest of the gear.

i read somewhere that it will cost $179. it will definitely be one of the cheaper jackets offered by burton.

Minor correction, Kevin Pearce did not win the Men’s SuperPipe event, Shaun White did. Nonetheless Kevin got silver in slopestyle and runner-up in Big Air.
