London-based artist Luke Rudolf hijacks familiar painting techniques to create a bold new visual language that is both violent and rich. His solo show at Kate McGarry Gallery in 2010 was also his first. Since then Rudolf has sparked the interest of collectors and well known gallerists, the Saatchis. For the exhibition Rudolf created a series of paintings that use psychotropic colours, metallic fields, heavy drips, and rough brush strokes visually allude to a human face in their summation. Rudolf creates raucous, lively paintings reminiscent of a shattered mirror strewn with blood. Check out some of his work below.
