This video was dubbed a “visual poem” by its makers, and when you watch it you’ll see they were right. Unlike the images of the New York Subway you usually see – crowded, grungy, chaotic trains full of shovey people – this short film focuses on a more serene experience.
The feeling that you get when you emerge from the subway and find yourself in a new and unexpected world is what film makers Sarah Klein and Tom Mason set out to capture. With music by Erik Satie the film is a love poem for one of the world’s greatest underground transit systems. Check out the video below.
