Travis Louie and Christopher Conn Askew have collaborated together to bring forth a curiously morbid display of work. ’96 Tears’ opened last weekend at the Merry Karnowsky Gallery in L.A. with triumphant success. The collection shows off peculiar humans with an affinity for curious pets. An assort of art from cyclops in gentleman garments to ladies with mammoth sized dragonflies. The work itself draws you into another world with a detailed story besides every piece. Helping the audience understand where these artists find their inspiration.
