Lee Quinones is one of the superstar names featuring in MOCA’s epic “Art In The Streets” exhibition in LA, so it was a timely opportunity for Life & Times to do an interview with him at his studio. It’s always interesting to hear the “is graffiti in galleries still graffiti?” debated, even more so from someone who is one of the kings of the original subway movement. Here he he describes himself as a “painter,” not so much a “graffiti artist.” Guess which side of the argument he’s on.
