Opening on June 13th at Culver City’s Cerasoli Gallery are three simultaneous exhibits from Matt Phillips, Mario Wagner, and Seth Curcio. Each artist counts collage as part of their style, but that’s where the similarities end. From Phillips, you can expect to see prismatic, kaleidoscopic forms paired with other geometric shapes; Wagner has a distinct 1960s feel to his work, using analog techniques with a heavy Dadaist influence (pictured above); and Curcio creates stunning work using the ‘accessible materials of mass commerce,’ creating hallucinogenic (and sometimes realistic) compositions from laser copiers, billboard pasting, enamel paints, and screen prints. These three promising exhibits run until July 8th, so there’s plenty of time to stop by!
