Mike Leavitt is phenomenal. He is the pop artist known for turning other pop culture superstars into vinyl toy versions of themselves (often crossed with their iconic characters). Every member of his so-called “art army” starts at a minimum of $900, such is the hotness of the series, but his latest is a standout: How much fun he must have had reimagining twisted genius Takashi Murakami as this pop monster with removable glasses and moveable ponytail. Available from the super-hip Jonathan Levine Gallery but probably not for long. Peep the gallery of other members of the Art Army below and have fun guessing who’s who.
