Reuse, reduce, recycle and then release in limited quantities is the motto behind this Ludwig Van x Vans Vault collabo, set to drop on April 8. Founded in 2008 by Mike Dytri (of Subfreaky fame), Ludwig Van is known for using one-of-a-kind deadstock fabrics to create rare and special edition releases, like this one, which features original Vans canvas sheets that are decades old, originally purchased at a warehouse sale. Each pair comes with a D-ring belt, flip book and shoe bag in a limited edition box.
All 288 pairs featuring 14 different patterns will only be available in five U.S. stores: (UNDFTD, Conveyor, Proper, DQM and Bows & Arrows.) Colette and Dover Street Market offer the only chance for European skate fiends to get their hands on them, unless they visit the Ludwig Van online store, which will offer a limited number of pairs for sale beginning on May 1, customized by Mr Dytri himself.
