One of the biggest names of the Club Kid generation, Michael Alig sits down with Christopher Bollen, in this feature by Interview Magazine. One of the most outrageous personalities in New York City during the late 1980s and 1990s, Alig was convicted for the murder of Angel Melendez in 1997, and has sat in a State prison ever since. Alig speaks candidly about the cycles of the club scene, the film Party Monster (depicting his rise and fall), and the murder that led to his conviction. If you’re at all interested in the Club Kids, and what the nightlife of New York was like during the era, it’s worth reading this interview.
