Deep Pop: An Edwin Ushiro Showcase

A native of Maui, Hawaii, Edwin Ushiro recalls “obtake (ghost) stories lingering in my head, leaving me awake imagining the impossible.” This piece, Remnant of Light Exiting a Pupil, exhibits the influence of the obtake stories as the subject is cast upon colors and a backdrop that emulate ghostly sensibilities. Ushiro will present Deep Pop on January 27, 2008.
