The untimely death of Lee Alexander McQueen last week left in its wake not only a number of grieving fans and admirers, but an industry with a tragically fresh void. The influence that his genius had on the fashion world is undeniable, and many regret that McQueen’s passing marks the end of a prolific, highly creative and visionary career. McQueen‘s spring / summer 2010 collection, which became available at retail outlets over the past few weeks, is the last to be fully overseen by the designer himself. Menswear from the collection shows a primary interest in a range of paint application, from spatters to smears.
