Last year, a 60 foot Gundam statue was built in Tokyo’s Odaiba district. This year, another 60 foot Gundam statue is built in Japan, this time with a large beam saber and in Shizuoka City. Yoshiyuki Tomino is the designer behind this structure, surely living out the dream of every Asian boy who has ever owned or built their own Gundam figurine. The statue itself was erected by Japanese company Bandai, which is both a toy and video game company. The large life-like Gundam model is set to be available to be shown to the public on July 24th until January 10th 2011.
