American outdoor company The North Face has created the ultimate guide vest for snowy endeavors. Aimed at rescue ski patrols, this feature packed vest has all the bases covered. Crafted out of hard wearing 840 denier nylon, the vest boasts a multitude of pockets and organizer to ensure that all necessary tools such as shovels and avalanche probes are within arms reach. Meant to replace a backpack, the vest also features cutouts for carrying either skis or a snowboard. Should you find yourself stuck in an avalanche, the built in Recco guidance system will allow rescue personnel to home in on your location. With a list price of ¥19,950 (approximately $256 USD) the vest doesn’t come cheap but can you put a price on personal safety?
