DGK All Fuckin’ Day

Founded by Philadelphia street skating legend Stevie Williams and named in honor of the city’s most notorious graffiti crew, DGK, a.k.a. Dirty Ghetto Kids, is making heavy moves into the streetwear scene.

Following a few short years as underground legends with skateboard sets worldwide, DGK is blowing up like mushroom clouds thanks in part to Stevie’s particular brand of hell-on-wheels street skating combined with a DIY marketing mentality and partnerships with some of the illest artists and designers in the land.

We all know that Stevie hustles hard, both on and off the deck, and our dude’s painstaking efforts in creating a name and brand for himself are finally paying those dues back ten-fold. After repping hard for DC Shoes since the ’90’s, Stevie amicably left one of the better-known brands in the land to be the first skater sponsored by RBK in 2004, becoming the foundation for the company’s endeavor into the action sports market. The sponsorship has increased DGK’s exposure to those unfamiliar with the skateboard community and Stevie himself, who has become quite a media mogul in his own right since – but we digress. Back to the tees…

You’ve all seen The Haters Tee (above left), and really, who doesn’t love the bastards (lots of you motherfuckers, judging by the quickness this banger flew out of stock last season…)? Real talk, if it wasn’t for the haters, how would we know the climate of our own success? So let the motherfuckers try and take us down a notch, and flash this tee in their twisted, stupid, salted, hating faces and let ‘em know that we not only love the attention, but the compliment as well.

The Fallen Soldiers Tee (below right) is back after a successful run last year, paying tribute to some of the all-time greats who passed entirely too soon; of course, it’s got Biggie, 2Pac and Eazy-E, but how often are Big Pun and hyphy originator, thizz creator Mac Dre recognized for their indisputable contributions to the world of hip hop? Like us, DGK feels that recognition is passed over far too often and finally did something about it.

We’re stoked to see what else DGK has in store for the months to come (DGK + RBK = fresh sneakers sooner rather than later), but check out the drop at Karmaloop by clicking the banner below to get your filthy hands on some of this summer’s craziest heatseakers.
